Welcome to Hilltop Church

Equipping the next generation to love God and to love their neighbor

Hilltop Church of the Nazarene_edited_edited.jpg

Hilltop church is a community of believers who have come together as one family in Christ Jesus. Through prayer, devotions, Bible studies, biblical preaching, and small group studies we seek spiritual growth individually as well as corporately. With Jesus as center of everything, we strive to love God and to love our neighbors. We are on mission to impact our community in the name of Jesus and would love to join hands with you on this mission.

About Our Beliefs

1. GOD

We believe in one God – the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

2. JESUS CHRIST

We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race, and that anyone who receives Christ is forgiven, adopted into God’s family, and has eternal life.

3. THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is active in the world, convicting people of sin, bringing life to those who repent and believe, sanctifying and empowering believers for ministry, and guiding into all truth.

4. THE BIBLE

The Bible is God's Word to us.  It is inspired by God. It provides all we need to know about how to be saved and to live out our lives.

5. HUMAN BEINGS

People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by sin, which separates people from God and creates a desire to please self.  We believe that Christians are to continue to grow in maturity after their conversion.

6. ATONEMENT

We believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross – and that by trusting in His death, we are restored to right relationship with God.

7. FREE WILL

We believe that God gives us free will and enables us to turn to Him for salvation, but He does not force us to do so.  He wants all to be saved, but gives us the freedom to accept or reject Christ.

8. REPENTANCE

Each person must repent, turn away from his/her sins, and trust in Jesus as their Savior and the Leader of their lives.

9. JUSTIFICATION, REGENERATION, AND ADOPTION

When we turn from sin and trust in Christ, the old record of sin is wiped clean, and we are born again, and are adopted as children of God.

10. ENTIRE SANCTIFICATION

The mark of a Christian is that their life is becoming more like Jesus, in character and in action.  We are both saved & sanctified by grace through faith.  In salvation, we receive all of God, and in sanctification, God receives all of us as we surrender to His leadership.

11. THE CHURCH

The church is the body of Christ at work in the world today.  It is a community of believers confessing Jesus as Lord and committed to advancing His mission in the world.

12. BAPTISM

Baptism is the outward sign of an inner work of grace.  It identifies us as followers of Jesus and gives testimony that we have made a decision to follow Jesus as the Leader of our lives.

12. BAPTISM

Baptism is the outward sign of an inner work of grace.  It identifies us as followers of Jesus and gives testimony that we have made a decision to follow Jesus as the Leader of our lives.

13. THE LORD’S SUPPER (COMMUNION)

Communion is a symbol of what Jesus has done for us on the cross.  In it, we remember what Christ has done, who we are in Christ, and where we stand in relationship with God.  (We typically celebrate communion monthly)

14. DIVINE HEALING

We believe in the biblical teachings regarding divine healing.  We encourage people to offer prayers for healing, and also believe that God works to heal through those serving in the medical sciences.

15. THE RETURN OF CHRIST

Jesus Christ will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place. But we make no predictions regarding when or how this will occur.

16. JUDGMENT, RESURRECTION, AND ETERNITY

We will either live eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally with Him is eternal life.

Giving & Volunteering

Volunteer

We believe that our spiritual growth accelerates through serving God and serving others. Jesus modeled service for us and we strive to help all of our family members reach their God-given gifts and potential in answering God’s call on their lives. Sunday and Wednesday offer a number of venues in which one can serve on a regular basis. If you are interested in serving please contact us.

Donate

We take very seriously the responsibility of administering God’s resources in the best way. Keeping this in mind, we offer a couple of ways for you to be able to give. As your giving is between you and God, an offering box is available at the back of the sanctuary or you can give online through the link or QR code below.
